With two young children the danger of drug prhibition has come all too clear. If any of our children decide to experiment and develope a problem with drugs prison and a ruined life is the not the answer. The drug war does not help fight drug abuse which is the real war to fight. Over all I wouuld like to read your book when it comes out. Thanks and for our future generations; Special thanks.

Stephen ...
I happily encountered George Stapleton at Waldenbooks in Orland. While we were catching up on people dear to us, we talked about your mom and dad, you and Stacy. I have just previewed your book site. Let me know when you are on the market. It's so nice to have friends who are successful.

I am still a junior high principal in Blue Island and loving it. I know all of my kids as well as I did my students. I have just finished my doctorate at Loyola. I have a feeling it will be one of a set if I live to a ripe old age.

Keep in touch.

Great site. I learned alot but are there really only 4 deaths a year from cocaine use?? It seems I hear about more than that every year just in the town where I live from cocaine od's. These od's are probably more a result of the drug being illegal and poorly produced and so forth and it was the victims choice I agree but I was just curious about the numbers.
All the best

I recently read a study that finds 6.3 million
full-time workers use drugs: http://www.mapinc.org/drugnews/v99.n983.a01.html/all
Either it proves you can use drugs and go on to be
president or the WAR ON DRUGS will finally end when
6.3 million people are in prison.

Your book (and web page) helps bring this to light.

Fine job on both!!!!!!

Dear Sir,

I've just been skimming the contents of your book, and I have to say that it is the most well documented one on the down-to-earth costs of this insane War on (Some) Drugs that has been written to date. Not to discount other works on the subject, but your book has been written in such an easily understood, comprehensive way that its' impact is inescapable: not only have we lost the War on Drugs from the moment of its declaration, but we have been paying an enormous price for its' continued failures. Your book will go a long way towards providing the necessary public understanding and reaction needed to turn our DrugWar addicted politicians and law enforcement officers - and therefore, our country - away from the precipice we are fast approaching.

Very thorough. I would however take exception of broadly dismissing ADHD. I practice as a Psychiatrist and had until recently practiced as a General Practitioner for 25 yrs. It would be more accurate to say the disorder is over diagnosed. I agree that the legal drug dealers are part of the drug war equation. By the way I believe you were referring to dextroamphetamine, not methamphetamine as an additional drug to treat the disorder. Thanks for the well articulated book.

Excellent piece of work. Very calm, articulate and
thorough shredding of the biggest criminal fraud ever
perpetrated upon the American people, The War on(some)
Drugs. Have you faxed this to McCrapnee? If not, you
should. I`d like to see this walking mindf*** try to
counter your arguments point by point. Even the prohib-
itionists know they haven`t a legal, logical, or ethical
leg to stand on, hence treasonous criminals like Diane
Fineswine and that PoS and sad excuse for a human being,
Oral Hatch, try to pass blatantly unconstitutional legis-
lation such as the Anti<insert favorite substance>Prolif-
eration Act in an attempt to censor and outlaw free speech
as well as make discussing *legal* ways to change Bad Laws
illegal. You can tell the prohibitionists are intellectually
unarmed, morally bankrupt and they know it.
